This limited edition Hook Strap was built to encapsulate the venerable Advanced Crew Escape Suit (ACES). Also known as the "pumpkin suit", this unapologetically orange full pressure suit is an evolution of the same pressure suits worn by high altitude pilots of the 1960s, Gemini astronauts, and the Launch Entry Suits worn by NASA astronauts starting with the STS-26 shuttle flight in 1988.

The International Orange "Professional" series of elastic was selected for its enhanced durability, high-visibility properties, and to evoke the distinctly utilitarian characteristics of the ACES suits worn by NASA astronauts during the ascent and entry stages of their space flight.

OVERVIEW:

Limited Edition NASA Emblem Graphics: Officially Approved by NASA’s Public Relations Department, each strap features the use of authentic NASA emblems and colors to meet identification regulations.
HD Printing: All graphics are applied in house by a specialized process to provide unsurpassed definition, vibrance, and resistance to the harshest conditions. This cutting edge “HD Print” technology comes standard on all NASA Series straps.
Professional Series Elastic: These are the first straps to feature my “PRO” series of elastics that have been woven from scratch to perform in the deepest depths and the highest heights.
Tether Module: The all-new "Tether Module" is composed of the same "Pro" Elastic and custom 2mm dia. wire-form aluminum alloy loops to prevent any contact blemishing. This attachment serves to retain one's timepiece in the event of a spring bar failure. It can be "toggled" on or off, and is entirely removable if so desired.
Special Hardware: Powder Coated Red & Blue Fixed Bar Compatible hardware have been bartacked to opposing ends of the strap for added indestructibility. They were incorporated into each NASA Series strap to emulate the striking anodized intake and exhaust valves found on EVA suits and to reinforce NASA's color scheme.
